Bio-Carotene contains 6 mg of pure beta-carotene per capsule. Beta-carotene is no recommended daily allowance (RDA).
In the body it is converted into vitamin A. This is indicated in retinol activity equivalents (RAE). Of beta-carotene to vitamin A conversion factor 1:12 is maintained. Bio-Carotene is the beta-carotene contained in an oil blend that keeps the fabric stable and increases the absorption.
Studies have shown that beta-carotene even better absorbed from the supplement than from vegetables.
- Provitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, functioning mucous membranes and normal vision
- Pure beta-carotene in an easily absorbable and stable form - the natural precursor of vitamin A
- Meets guidelines for pharmaceutical production and EU rules on food supplements
Good sources of beta-carotene
Beta-carotene is found naturally in various foods. A pair of the richest sources are:
- Green vegetables
The beta-carotene content in vegetables can vary greatly depending on factors such as the land on which they were grown, the use of fertilizers, wind and weather conditions and the treatment of the harvested vegetables.
