New Care Cranberry plus is a formula of natural origin based on Cranberry, D-mannose, Saccharomyces boulardii and the extracts of horseradish and oregano.
The juice of the cranberry has been used for centuries. Cranberries are naturally rich in bioflavonoids, organic acids, D-mannose and vitamin C. The strong bitter acid taste and high acid content can form a barrier to using cranberry juice. New Care Cranberry plus contains a standardized cranberry extract and offers a good alternative.
The added D-mannose is a natural, essential sugar that is produced by our own body in small quantities. In addition, D-mannose is naturally present in small amounts in fruits, including (oranges) apples, peaches, cranberries and blueberries.
Saccharomyces boulardii is a probiotics-like substance that was discovered in 1920 by the French microbiologist Henri Boulard. However, Saccharomyces boulardii is not a bacterium but a type of yeast that can survive well in the intestine. New Care Cranberry plus contains at least 2 billion units per tablet.
